Hi everybody welcome to our digital German Shepherd mancom a little cool here really nice to have autumn weather and it's overcast today so we have really good light lately the lovely and the background she's wanting to get out because she knows I have the tio but we're going to bring sergeant into this articel because I'm going to show you some of the different hand signals that I use when I'm training a dog hand signals in my opinion are very very important it just gives the command more enhancement and it makes that it drives the the command into the dog's psyche quite a bit more than just verbal commands so I'm going to show you several different hand signals that I use here at German Shepherd mancom so I'm going to bring sergeant the super dog into this and and show you some of the hand signals that I use now when I'm training a dog and I give them the command this is the release command when I do this particular command both of my arms are gonna go straight out to the side that means okay a why that's my verbal command that goes along with the hands going out and it tells the dog that they are released from wherever they are now sergeant is currently posted up on our front deck and he is locked in to me and this toy right here.
Dog Training Hand Signals
So this particular command is one that I really drive deep into them and I want them in this position I'm going to show you on purpose because I don't want them come and have their back to a potential distraction or something else going on I like for them to come to to my left side and sit on my left side and so that they can be facing whatever it is I'm facing dog obedience hand signals I think that's important and it locks them in to this particular command now I'm going to do this command where I'm going to take my left hand and I'm going to point to my left side and the command is I used two words right and here now he's not doing it because he doesn't associate those two words separated like that but when I used the finger point to the ground at my left side and those two words close together sergeant right here now he's amped up right now it's cool they love it when it's cool and I got the toy we've been working out and we've been doing a lot of videos so he's kind of but anyway that's the right here signal sergeant dead now that hand signal along with deck when I point to the deck he will go run jump on the deck now if I said okay right here is he awesome or what now I'm going to do the same type thing but instead of saying Dec K.
Dog Hand Signals
I'm going to say work shop sergeant workshop workshop see he he's been going back and forth to the deck so he automatically he heard deck but when he realized oh he said workshop now he has to run to my workshop and post it up yep okay yep and that great I didn't have to say anything then see you can work them I like to come out here at night and work them silently I like them to just respond to hand signals only out here at night because that's part of our training program that's what we do now let me show you when I'm teaching them sit I'll say sit now why do I do that it's just a very unique body movement I mean you don't walk around in conversation and do this often you know so sit come look sergeant come don't touch me with your paws bro you know that is out-of-bounds no sir that's not good come now this is the stay hand signal it's real simple stay that's what I do whenever I'm teaching them to stay I'll always use that hand signal and I don't have to use it on him now because he responds to either the verbal command or the hand signal or both for instance and when I start off on my right foot he knows to stay and when I start off with my left foot he knows to heel.
So that's another foot signal you might want to call it so we use sit stay come right here and I'll show you one more come stay you with me Jack I'm gonna point at his face and say d-o-double you in because that is the stamp command notice how he hits the dirt quick I mean he's not like okay let me lay down I'm he's sergeants the man I mean he's just like you give him a command to dick I mean here that boy he just he just what he loves to work this boy is a worker good boy what an awesome dog sergeant the Superdog you are a man baby he's a 10 I've only had two tens in 40 years this baby right here he's a 10 thank you so much thank you for your comments your more information about how to train your dog with hand signals and when brand-new German Shepherd Man and Sergeant the Superdog articel are up is that awesome you like it sergeant you like it that's a good boy he likes to play tug sergeant jean-georges there's a good boy sergeant getting your name George it's good boys or did it's not good boy come okay good boy Wow when that fought a little whoa post articel treat for you guys that that watched all the way to the end you got something the other guys did get when they left early again thanks to all of you from all.
