Choose a toilet spot outside, and continuously take your puppy (on a leash) to it spot. whereas your puppy is relieving themselves, use a particular word or phrase that you simply will eventually use before they are going to prompt them what to try to to. Take them out for a extended walk or some leisure time solely once they need eliminated.

Reward your puppy on every occasion they eliminate outdoors. Praise or offer treats—but keep in mind to try to to therefore now once they’ve finished, not once they are available back within. This step is important, as a result of appreciated your dog for going outdoors is that the solely thanks to teach what is expected of them. Before appreciated, take care they’re finished. Puppies area unit simply distracted and if you praise ahead of time, they'll forget to complete till they’re back within the house.

Place your puppy on an everyday feeding schedule. What goes into a puppy on a schedule comes out of a puppy on a schedule. counting on their age, puppies sometimes ought to be fed 3 or fourfold daily. Mistakes happen

Expect your puppy to own a number of accidents within the house—it's a standard a part of housetraining. Here's what to try to to once that happens:
  • interrupt your puppy after you catch them within the act.
  • create a surprising noise (be careful to not scare them) or say "OUTSIDE!" and straight off take them to their lavatory spot. Praise your pup and provides a treat if they end there.
  • do not penalise your puppy for eliminating within the house. If you discover a bedraggled space, it's too late to administer a correction. simply clean it up. Rubbing your puppy's nose in it, taking them to the spot and scolding them or the other social control can solely create them frightened of you or afraid to eliminate in your presence. social control can typically do a lot of hurt than smart.
  • clean the bedraggled space totally. Puppies ar extremely intended to continue soilure in areas that smell like piddle or excreta.

It's very vital that you simply use these oversight and confinement procedures to reduce the amount of accidents. If you permit your puppy to eliminate ofttimes within the house, they will get confused concerning wherever they’re presupposed to go, which can prolong the housetraining method.

Make plans for once you are away

If you've got to be aloof from home quite four or 5 hours every day, this could not be the simplest time for you to induce a puppy. Instead, you'll need to contemplate associate degree older dog WHO will await your come. If you have already got a puppy and should be away for long periods of your time, you'll have to:

  • prepare for somebody, like a accountable neighbor or knowledgeable keeper, to require them for lavatory breaks.
  • as an alternative, train them to eliminate during a specific place inside. Be aware, however, that doing this will prolong the method of housetraining. Teaching your puppy to eliminate on newspaper could produce a life-long surface preference, which means that whilst associate degree adult they'll eliminate on any newspaper lying round the lounge.
  • If you intend to paper-train, confine them to a neighborhood with enough area for a sleeping house, a enjoying house and a separate place to eliminate. within the selected elimination space, use either newspapers (cover the world with many layers of newspaper) or a sod box. to form a sod box, place sod during a instrumentality like a child's little, plastic pool. you'll conjointly notice dog-litter product at a pet provide store.
  • If you've got to wash up associate degree accident outside the selected elimination space, place the bedraggled rags or paper towels within it subsequently to assist your puppy acknowledge the scented space because the place wherever they're presupposed to eliminate.

Many owners fancy rough-housing, that describes taking part in in an active and really physical manner – with their puppies. Your pup must learn the way to behave once they come back to measure with you, as well as a way to play. Teaching ‘bite inhibition’ can facilitate your pup commemorate with individuals and with alternative dogs.

How to play along with your pup while not being bitten

Here ar a number of tried-and-tested strategies to show your pup bite inhibition – the flexibility to use their teeth while not inflicting distress to others.

Toys, toys and a lot of toys

It’s fine to play energetically along with your dog and for your puppy to use their teeth, however this kind of play ought to be directed on to acceptable play objects. It’s best to play along with your puppy during a manner that’s less seemingly to harm, right from the start. Potty Training Your Dog | Indoor Potty Training

potty training your dog

Hey guys welcome to those junkies times three my name is Daniel and today we are gonna be doing a highly requested articel about how to housetraining your puppy so I've been getting a bunch of questions and wanting more specifics and more specific examples so you asked and I have risen to the occasion to get these things for you and I am going to show you examples of how I started with my dogs I'm using the confinement method I did not eat I did not crate train so if you have questions about price training I know a little bit but that's not the method I use I practice using the confinement method so when you get your puppy you want to keep them in the area that is very strict and control for me when I got my dogs I skated off every other room in Houston we were only in one designated room together and whenever I would leave the house I would put them in their little Runner areas and it would have a potty their bed and their footballs with that area you want to make sure that there's no floor space available so you want to make sure that the only option they do have is to go to the potty on the pee pad because they don't want to pee in their bed and they don't want to keep out their food so that is extremely important it proved to be extremely successful for me so Brady's gonna really get into that's.

The most that's the general idea of it but running into the median bump so the first thing I have is to always monitor your pup you have to keep a close eye on your dog because it can be very very sneaky especially especially with your kids because they're so tiny sometimes it's hard to tell when they're going to the potty and so you have to be very mindful of them because they'll look like they're just sitting down and they're pink so keep a close close eye on them to make sure that if you see them sniffing around on the floor if you see them walking in a concentrated circle get them to the potty area immediately inside go potty go potty so therefore they'll put two and two together and I think another thing a lot of questions that I were getting is dogs are having accidents they're having accidents I think that it's very important if you have a small tiny Yorkie like I do they don't have huge bladders so if you're doing the outside training thing I think it's a little bit more work because you have to get them out a lot more especially if you're going for a long stretch of time because obviously their fathers are small and they can't hold it in my opinion so I think that with a lot of people who are having issues with the accident it could be because you're potty training your dog to go outside and they're not being taken outside enough.

How to Potty Train An Older Dog?

This is why I opted to potty train inside because for me they always have a bathroom available they always have a party available to go to they never have to hold it when they have to go they can feel free to go and it just it works out for me you want to make sure when you do have your puppy pad and your puppy pen holder which obviously I will show you guys what that looks like that you keep it on the floor that is easy to clean I know that some people won't like this but I keep both of my pets in each corner of the kitchen I know some people don't want to have that in the kitchen but for me the puppy pad doesn't smell because hey it gets cleaned every day with Clorox wipes and bleach B whenever there's Cooper pee time or whenever this poop neatly pick it up and because it's clean every night and the puppy pad is changed out it doesn't hold it order I know some other people keep their puppy pads in the laundry room or in the bathroom just want to make sure you don't keep it on carpet I mean you wanna keep it on carpet you can but they like is hat could be a lot of mess if there's a little bit of spill over I know sometimes my Marlee can miss aim and they get on the floor and it would be a lot more of a hassle if that floor was carpet versus laminate floor where I can just take a Clorox wipes and cleaning up really quick in no big deal so be sure you strategically place your puppy pads.

If you're gonna be training to go on the inside and if you do have a small dog and you're having issues with potty or accidents in the home you may want to consider it at least a D maybe one pee pad in for longer stretches of time or just having one there for the option so then you can have your dog training go inside or outside I think that's a great option and a great compromise for you and your dog and they say it's important to choose a specific area I'm not sure about really went to pizza but that is extremely important because your dog needs to know where the puppies you can't go changing the potty every other day because they're going to get confused they need to know where the potty area is so when they have to go pee exactly where to go so try to keep it in the same I never move every bet that is their area that's where they belong and that is where they stay so even if we're upstairs doing something they have to cope I'll go downstairs and go right to their area and it has their scent there so make sure you keep a designated area that works for you and your family also to go along with that don't let your dog choose the area at the sonicate area I know some people have a problem with that.

Okay he's peeing right here on the carpet he's painting right there you can't be like oh well just put a few pad there because that's where he goes no that's your dog training you want to train your dogs to go to the potty so you have to get them to potty in that designated area and if they're having accidents and wants to say the arrogant area you need to watch them whenever they go to that area so then you can direct them to the proper area to go potty so you want to make sure that again you choose the area or if your dog does choose to get air Venus choose a nice corner in the back of the kitchen perfect then you guys are set up the features is a bad area like the middle of the living room then we need to address that and have to move it to the proper area of your home okay another thing that I have seen to be mistakes that people have is they don't keep the potty area clean which is extremely important because your dog can sometimes not want to go in and dirty potty I know a lot of people think that oh I have to leave poop on the pad so he'll sniff it and go there that's true but it's whit extent when I first started potty training my dog when it was time to change the pit that I made just tacked it on a little bit of pee or if there's a little bit of poop smear on the pad just put a little bit you know I have a crap ton of poop and a whole pissy pee pad where your dog is going because they're not gonna want to go on back because it's dirty so it's okay to do that because I think that it's important to make sure that they follow the scent when they're puppies and that is vital and training.

Can an Older Dog Still be Potty Trained?

So when you are getting rid of an dopey pet just take the new pee pad tap it on a little bit of pee and if you see like a little you know poop poop stain rub it on there and that is more than enough for them to get the same and make sure that you're cleaning it daily I clean the pee pad every night just make sure you're keeping it clean for your dogs because obviously you wouldn't want to go to a filthy potty so I expect your doctor all right and so other thing that I've already mentioned is how important is to be vigilant of your dog and to know your dogs kind of pee and poop pattern like I know for instance when Zoey is gonna go poop she does a whole circle thing for a good minute just circling around the puppy pad sniffing and circling so I know okay she's gone poop so you want to make sure that you know your dog and you know their patterns before that go to the bathroom if you see them acting a little strange if you see them sniffing around if you see them being really concentrated on the floor or anything move them to the päivi area that is important and it really does help with training cuz if you get them there and they potty and you praise them you know they'll know okay this is a good thing and the nice thing to do is if you know they've done an activity like if they're really excited if they just drink water if they just eat ate if they're running around playing check them take them to the potty hey go potty and see if they needs to go to luck so after that either of you see the planet being excited give them to the potty and just see.

If they have to go potty and let them know go potty and they'll get adjusted to that another thing that you need to do is if when you're home and of course you have your dogs in their strict area you need to follow them to the potty and make sure they don't get distracted along the way because they may have all the correct intentions on point to the potty but they may get distracted and want to bite them there's a play on that and a peeing on the floor so you want to make sure that they're going to the potty and as they progress alone you can't follow them less and less and less and then eventually you want to follow them not because they'll know to go immediately to the potty another thing to do is to have your potty area set up when my dogs are puppies and trainees I already had the potty treats there because when everybody they expected their treat so I would have a thing of Cheerios you can use honey nut or original Cheerios or whatever treats you decide it should be a big treat it should be a easy little treat making get rewarded and have there in their fame and they're living there go away for a moment and then we can you know of course move on so I would have their treats and a clicker clicker is very instrumental because that sound represents a positive action when they hear that sound they know.

Okay I've done something good I've done something that makes mommy your daddy happy so what I would do when they will be out click and then you have to really put on the show you have to praise him and get extremely excited and extremely happy and just go above and beyond like they just want to cram your word or something like that like you really have to let them know this is a great thing and then you follow up with a nice little treat and that's how you do it and now you do it you do it I was pretty consistent with the fourth the first good maybe eight 10 months with my dogs and I just made sure to give him a treat and they would go potty and expected it and so after a little bit what I did was after there we go potty of course I would say good job I didn't do the price turn down the price about eight or nine months I didn't go crazy excited I was saying you know good boy good girl and before they got a treat I would make them do a command so okay you need to sit down stay and then they will get their treat and that's how we kind of transition it to where they're working for it a little bit harder because now you're going to go potty I don't need to finish up I'll let you know hey good job give me a pat on the head now I need you to a command so you're on the street I love it you can work a little bit harder to earn this street and eventually after that they just go to the potty and that's it I don't say good job I don't say anything because they know that's what they're supposed to do sometimes.

How to Potty Train a Dog in 7 Days?

If I catch them I'll be like okay good job Marley and then randomly if I feel like it I give them a treat but now because I know that's what they're supposed to do is expect it up then I don't really do too much of anything when I go to the potty except to clean it up okay so now we're gonna get a little bit more into detail about tips potty train for your dog the confinement area like I said in the beginning of the articel you want to make sure that when your dog whenever you are not home you do not leave your dog out you leave them in that specific designated confinement area it I promise you guys it really works for me in my pups so when I probably have even if I was but in apartment I live in house now even if I was taking the garbage to the dumpster a 10 minute walk I would put them up in their area where they are supposed to go because and those 10 minutes there could be an unnecessary accident that could have been avoided if I wasn't lazy and I just put them in their area so in this area like I said you want to have a pee pad a bit and water bowls now I work from home now but when I did not work from home that is where they would be for 8 hours and it was more than enough room for them to walk around and I would leave free toys a fun toy a soft toy and a thinker toy and that would be in their area and by talking home they would have it pooping their feet in their area so you want to make sure that's your area your confinement area stuff and you don't put swap things around.

If you have your potty on one side of the confinement area it needs to stay there don't switch swap your potty around because you want to redecorate the potty area have your potty your bed and your water or your water your bed and your potty or however you want to do it you don't say I like to personally keep the potty as far away from the food and water as possible so I like the bit the in-between so make sure that you just keep it the same so they're familiar with it and they don't have to make adjustments as you decide to change your mind like I said it's important that they don't have any floor space you don't want them to be able to go pee in the corner other thing you wanted to be to wear is only the those things are covering up all their floor space of it don't really have to meet options and they do not want to you know the saying goes you don't poop where you sleep they don't want to do that they basically don't want to put where they eat so make sure that you just have it nice and compact for them but enough space of course for them to stretch out not too crazy and like I said I'll show you an example and I'll put the dogs in there so you can kind of gauge how much space they have while they're in the potty area.

Alright guys so this is a setup that I was telling you guys about nice and simple and you see that I have the potty area please excuse the potty trade if you do see a little bit of pee on there I don't need the cleaning today I haven't cleaned it for the night it's not the end of the day yet for us so I will be cleaning this tonight like I said put the cloth wipes and bleach to make sure it's a sanitized for my pups messing that we have is their bed where they hang out in the bed where they used to hang out in the bed and the final thing we have are their food bowls and trays I like to keep water in their bowls and of course their food bowl in the morning so this is it guys you see that they're virtually barely any space for them to pee anywhere but on their puppy pet which is exactly what you want you want to take away that option so the natural choice would just be the puppy pet you don't want them to have oh I can just pee right here in the corner no you want them to be there this is very important in this Oh running I got this from Petsmart I'm sure you can get these on Amazon for a lot cheaper I think there was about $70 at Petsmart but I would definitely check Amazon if you are interested in picking up something similar to this if I do remember I will leave a link so I'm similar in the description box below from Amazon I'm most likely a lot cheaper this is a top paw 34 inch look this is a top paw 34 inch extra size pin with a split door okay guys and I just want to show you guys an example what it looks like with a dog in there so Murli is in there hanging out and he's as you can see it's not cramped up he still does have space to stretch out and move but he still just has this potty pad in his food bowl.

How to Potty Train a Puppy on Pads?

So you can just kind of guesstimate this space Marley is 5 pounds and this is what it looks like with him in there so you can kind of guesstimate how I think we may have a Pothier in this I can't you guys nope I think I distracted them but this is what it looks like I will try key to get them and go potty on camera but like I said now that we're out of the strict training phase they kind of just go and they want and I just clean it up but um that's what looks like with him in there I have a dog now a lot of people come up to us and a perfect example is this weekend um that was a rescue dog of it that I took the dogs to to support and you purchase stuff for donations whatever but first I let me come up to me and she was like I've heard these this breed is hard to train our girl she's hard to Train and honestly my answer is no if you are consistent with your dog and if you do what you're supposed to do they will do what they're supposed to do so if you keep their potty area where they're supposed to you keep up there after pilot routine with the praise the treats are there praise the clicker and the treat and you keep that going and you do your part bill will do they they will do their part and that is my experience a lot of people say they have problems with training new yorkese and a lot of times it's not about training the dog it's about training the parents so you have to train yourself to follow through and do what you're supposed to do because they they live on routine and live on schedule so if you do what you're supposed to do they will do what they're supposed to do they'll follow suit so it really just boils down to commitment and dedication and consistency in getting your dog training in my view and also just remember - I did touch on this a little bit earlier but if you have a Yorkie in there a smaller dog you may i suggest i really suggest training to go inside because i feel like it'll save you so much heartache and pain and frustration because they're so small their bladders are tiny obviously.

If i've found dog it's not gonna have the same size but as a 100 pound Rottweiler it's just not gonna be the same so you have to make adjustments according to their size so i would always recommend training to go inside and like i said you can have a versatile dog to where they can go outside or they can go inside but i think that you should always have an option go inside especially if you're not gonna be home for an extended period of time you can't take them out as much as they want to because I see Marley go pee two three times an hour you know two three four times an hour nincompoops and I don't want to have them sitting there holding it because I'm too lazy to get a finger oxides I think it just works best for smaller dogs to train inside I just really want to preach on that one more time for you guys just to really know that home that you know they have tiny bladder they don't have the same size bladders list or larger dogs so just bear that in mind when you are potty training your foot and also some people have older dogs that they just adopt it it may take a little bit longer but they are fully trainable you can teach an old dog new tricks that myth is not sure you you're dedicated and committed and nothing you're consistent that older dog will catch on and will be able to catch on to the potty training methods that you have set in motion for them alright guys one thing that I did forget to mention is that one accident does not mean you have to throw out all the progress you made the other heard the expression don't throw out the baby with the bathwater we all make mistakes we all make accidents so if they do have an accident or so even when they're fully potty trained doesn't mean they're not potty trained it simply means they had an accident.

Sometimes even though my dogs are fully potty trained sometimes I do make a mistake and that is normal we are not perfect so don't expect them to be perfect so if there is accident for me I just clean it up I don't yell at them I don't make a fuss I just clean it up and continue to go about my day I don't even get that any attention until therefore if they have an accident I'll okay let me put a little bit more into my praise so once I see them do go where they're supposed to go I'll be a little bit more excited than normal so therefore just to reinforce what they've already learned months ago that that is where you go and that is where you get attention you don't get attention when you go somewhere that you're not supposed to go so please just bear that in mind don't get discouraged if they have accident every once in a while you want to just really focus on positive reinforcement staying consistent making sure you're potty potty area set up again with your clicker your treats and your praise and that is everything that I have for you guys today on patreon I really this articel about potty training a puppy is detailed enough and if you guys have any more questions please let me know if you glad to do a part for you on this potty training thing and I would definitely see you guys in the comments for your dog if you want your dog to be fashionable and have a beautiful handcrafted wanna protect cotton leash definitely.

One of the Most Important Dog Training Obedience Commands

one of the most important dog training obedience commands

I just wanted to demonstrate the leave it command I didn't care about anything else in there okay I haven't done anything with Lucas since he had the seizure like episode nearly killed him so I'm very careful what I do with them but what I wanted to show here dog training techniques we had a good discussion on one of the post yes s someone made about the leave it command a lot of people say it's useless they don't use it I can't imagine that there's three things that my puppies learn first leave it means don't touch it out drop whatever in your is in your mouth and come to me those three things are vital the thing with leave it it quickly becomes possibly the strongest command in my dog's repertoire that's a big word that's French I think as well as my clients dogs very important guys what you see is it works much faster more effectively than the recall or anything else I don't know the science behind it but it does and I don't talk about anything or debate anything or argue anything unless I've done it hundreds of times if not thousands of times so there's nothing that drives me crazy when someone says well my dog.

One dog doesn't matter ten dog doesn't matter tell me after a hundred dogs after a thousand dogs so the reason that I talk about the leave it command is because it's extremely beneficial to people extremely helpful guys if a rabbit took off right now and I've shown this on film I've set Lucca up with this if a rabbit took off running right now a cat a deer anything and he wanted to go after it all's I have to say is leave it there's no yelling there's no screaming and it's automatic the dog doesn't even think about it so I wanted to demonstrate there you see his insanity for the ball his Drive so even going down being worked up I'm holding him back he's shaken I send him I say leave it it's automatic and what does he do he's looking at me and then from there I can tell him down I can tell him come I could tell him anything and he's going to okay so then what I demonstrated the last time there is I gave him the recall I think on the way to the ball and you see hesitation you see a little confusion because the drive overrides that but the drive never overrides.

The leave it command not sure why I think in my mind maybe the dog figures let's say it's chasing an animal you tell them leave it maybe they think well well if I catch it I can't touch it anyway so what's what's the sense but it's extremely effective I don't understand this concept of not just being literal with the dog okay I'm going to teach what I preach all the time I'm gonna tell the dog exactly what I want so if I don't want him to touch something I'm gonna tell them to leave it there is nothing simpler than that that is the simplest form of communication between human and dog being direct and letting him know exactly what you want now if you don't believe in the command or you think it's useless and you want to give the dog you know a Down when they're about to approach something you don't want him to touch or you want or weak that's there's nothing wrong with that's on you but unless you have a lot of experience teaching a dog leave it many dogs you you can't you can't debate that it's very difficult to because it works not just with my dogs with all dogs again it's probably the only command that I teach where there's no rewards ever and there's very few Corrections.

So for the most part when I'm teaching a puppy if the puppies off leash and I tell them they you know and the reason is they give you many opportunities to get repetitions and right repetitions so if the puppies going to touch something and I tell them leave it and I move them away you know they're going to keep trying I gave an example on that post yesterday mango the first correction or the first punishment I ever implemented with mango was at 8 weeks old and that's because she's extremely extremely hard-headed there was a dead bird eight weeks old in the road and she of course wanted to get in it and I said leave it she wasn't on a leash if she was on a leash I just say leave it and pull her away no least correction no nothing I just remove her like I do with clients dogs and just by repetitions they learn very quickly but with mango I said leave it I moved her away well guess what she went right back to it I said leave it one more time and moved her away the third time when she went back I took the scruff her neck gave a little quick pinch and she yelped the bird was no longer interesting.

Essential Dog Training Commands

Could I have done that the first time yeah but it's not important to me you understand what I'm saying so with Luca or any of my dogs even buddy who I don't work with I don't train if we tell our dogs to leave it that means don't touch it it's off-limits and that's how it's always going to be I'm very literal with my dogs I'm gonna tell them exactly what I want again I'm going to teach what I preach I'm going to explain to them and show them exactly what I want I don't understand the concept of telling a dog if your dog's going out and there's a big pile of cow poop and you don't want them in it for me I don't understand the concept of telling them to down or come that's just foreign to me because to me then the dog never learns eh I don't want you to touch that and I want the dog to know hey that's off-limits I don't want you to touch it but if that's your style and that's what you prefer again there's nothing wrong with it but don't discount someone else's style especially someone like myself who has shown it for years years I did a video years ago with my four dogs in the kitchen with the ribeye steak on the floor right told leave it and I went to cook the rest of the dinner.

If the dogs are down and there's a steak in the middle of them and I don't want them to touch it what else can I tell them I don't want to recall them I want them where they're at I don't want them to stand there in a down so I tell them exactly what I want be clear to the dog explain what you want leave it hey don't touch it that's off-limits okay I don't want to see that Luca knows that one other thing when I teach it I see a lot of people do this I'm not saying it's wrong I don't do it though I see a lot of people teach leave it with rewards meaning they'll put some food some kibble the dog's kibble or some treats on the ground they restrain the dog whatever and they tell the dog leave it and when the dogs doing well and not touching it they mark it and they released the dog to get the food again not saying that's wrong but I don't do that okay I don't use rewards for that command and I never in the teaching process use something that I'm teaching them not to touch okay so for instance if I'm teaching the command leave it I'm not gonna then turn around and allow them to have what they want once they know it very well like I did with Luca now then you could use it for different levels of very advanced obedience which you guys have seen him do many different things but if you take all of those things that I've done with look in articel all.

Basic Obedience Commands Your Dog Should Learn

The more advanced obedience there's nothing advanced about it it's all the basics know very well in all situations so my challenge to anyone if you think that's not a good command and by the way there's no tools there's no e collars there's no leashes if your dog can't respond to the verbal command at the highest level arousal and distraction your dogs not trained and that's just a fact I can't do that with mango right now because she's not trained to that level but she will be shortly you understand what I'm saying so anyone who discounts that and you say you're gonna use something else just make some videos show it in a really high state of arousal no tools some of you will do it very successfully no matter how you teach it and some of you will fail miserably but you won't talk about it or show it there's a lot of people talk and in today's world there's a lot of videos that you can watch punishment punishment punishment Corrections Corrections Corrections that's what we hear right there's so much emphasis on on punishment and Corrections very little emphasis on teaching and training.

The fact is the better you get a training the less Corrections and the less punishment you're using that's a fact no one can dispute that nothing wrong with punishment Corrections but when your whole training system is based around that that's just not my style anyway you know that's that's not my style but again I back it up with my dogs I back it up with my clients dogs you understand what I'm saying it's very important if your dog performs under that situation it doesn't matter how you teach her or what commands you use or how you approach it as long as it works but I'm saying for those of you that struggle in those situations getting your dog to recall from those really high level distractions animals bikes joggers cars anything the basic obedience commands your dog should learn for leave it command I can guarantee you will work better than anything else always I hope this hopes again as long as you're getting to success guys and the results and your training you mainly do what you got to do as long as it works peace.

How to Stop a Dog from Barking?

how to stop a dog from barking?

How does stop a dog from barking it's really normal for dogs to bark they bark to warn another dog to stay out of their territory they bark when happy or at play they bark when danger seems near and they bark when they are about to attack or are afraid admittedly too much barking can be annoying which is why dog owners really have to take a healthy and practical approach when learning how to stop a dog from barking some breeds are prone to bark louder and more frequently than others and some dogs are just individually high-strung knowing how to stop a dog from barking does not really mean getting a dog to stop vocalizing 24/7 rather it's more about training your dog to be quiet when you command them too we look to some expert dog trainers about how excessive barking can be managed and they shared the following tips 1 weaning your dog away from making too much noise will take some time and consistent effort especially.

How To Stop Dog Barking at Neighbours?

If the dog has been allowed to bark indiscriminately for quite some time don't expect to see changes in just a few hours or days also when training your dog to be quieter you should always be pleasant and nice dogs respond to positive reinforcement better when it comes to refraining from a certain action talk to your family and make sure that everyone knows how to respond to your dog's behaviors appropriately at all times unless you all react in the same manner each and every time your dog is just going to be confused on what is expected of him - the first thing that you need to do is observe what triggers the barking is it the sight of strangers coming inside your yard or passers-by coming within his line of sight does he bark just because he feels restless and needs to burn off some energy is he barking because he's hungry thirsty or otherwise uncomfortable 3 once you have observed your dogs barking triggers eliminate them you can prevent him from seeing passers-by by drawing the drapes across the windows which look out into the street or move him someplace where he won't be constantly bombarded by the sight of unfamiliar people for don't reward his barking with attention even if it's just to shout at him to shut up first of all shouting at the dog while he is barking only makes him think that you are barking along with him and joining in on the fun you should refrain from looking petting or talking to your dog while.

He is having a barking episode no matter how long it takes and how to stop dog from barking when left alone it teaches him that being quiet is the way to get his owners attention 5 be very patient about waiting out a barking marathon no matter how long it takes otherwise you risk making this situation worse you see ignoring a dog for barking for several hours can backfire if you give in and scream at him to be quiet after some time he learns that as long as he keeps on barking you will eventually notice him 6 praise and reward your dog as soon as he stops at first you can give him the belly rub and a tasty treat if he keeps quiet for a few minutes gradually lengthen the time between the rewards until he gets used to being silent for several hours at a time note that this process can draw itself out for months 7 train your dog to fall silent on command by first teaching him to bark when you say so it may seem counterproductive to teach a dog to bark when that is the issue per se but unless he becomes aware of the fundamental difference between keeping quiet and making noise he won't understand what you want from him all too often a dog who barks too much is often looking to relieve his boredom stress or frustration before getting started with implementing the tips we gave on how to stop dog barking arrange his routine so that your dog gets adequate physical and mental stimulation on a daily basis a dog who feels contented and pleasantly tired is less likely to make too much noise.

Crate Training A Dog With Separation Anxiety

crate training a dog with separation anxiety

Everybody welcome to another episode of formula today we are going to be talking about how to get your dog be comfortable in their crate with separation anxiety I'm humbled honestly I'm humbled by everyone that's coming in and hanging out if you are a part of the husky community if you have some Huskies at home maybe you just love siberian huskies please go ahead become part of the husky community a lot of you are and if you didn't know I'm gonna introduce you to the pups this right here is Saly she's the lady of the house looking fly as always look how pretty she is she's also the smart aleck of the two and right here we got Britney Spears and he's the man in that house or the pop diva of the house might I say both of them are tired they both just play with each other what's that boy what's she doing leave Britney alone that's what they always say if you guys are wondering why I call them Britney Spears I will answer that question in an episode coming up but I've already covered it so if you watch some past episodes you know click over that way or click over that way you might find out exactly.

Why I call him bud nose nose there's a big ol hi skin OHS close pinkie pie you're a cutie pie let's go boy now look at Britney Spears right here he is completely content just sleeping in it's great he's just hanging out I didn't even put him in there actually he just went you know what I love this thing so much I want to sleep in it daddy oh look at HeLa she's like don't blink I'm gonna go in there so easy and that's exactly what we're gonna be talking about today I know I've taught you guys how to crate train your husky but that's completely different from making their crate their safe space so today we are going to teach you how to do that how does your dog get comfortable how did they get familiar with their crate you look like you're sleeping we're doing YouTube video you got wake up it doesn't matter what kind of dog oh you have you can make sure that they are comfortable and happy in their little crate home everyone's always telling me.

Anxiety Dog Training

I hear this a lot especially from people who love animals and trust me I am an undermount Laval they always say crates are terrible for your dogs crates are horrible don't ever have a crate introduced into your home because it's just a little jail that's not accurate at all I'm sorry I have to argue with those people because my dogs end up loving their crates they become safe spaces and I know this because When my dogs go ahead and they fight each other like when they're playing and they're play fighting one of the Huskies if they get tired or if they're like I'm losing this battle they'll run to their cage and be like I'm safe the other husky won't chase the other husky into that cage they know they're like that's that's that dogs crate I'm not going in there that's their safe space they're trying to get out of the way for a minute and that's what tells me hey these dogs are starting to use these crates as like a home base so like hey this is where I like to be especially when they just nap in it just like this like when we're just hanging out dogs are all different all shapes and sizes all colors and creams all sorts of different jumps so it's always gonna be different on how your dog acclimates to a crate some dogs are gonna love the crate initially some dogs are gonna hate they're never gonna want to be in it but there are secrets and tips that you can follow that you can get your dog acclimated to your crate a little bit faster maybe a little bit easier maybe a little bit more stress-free.

Now one of the first things you're gonna want to do when you're training your dog to love their crate is you're going to want to give them plenty of treats and a lot of practice and I have not stressed this enough on this channel can you crate a dog with separation anxiety I'm gonna spruce it more you need to be patient and practice makes perfect this kind of thing takes passion guys you guys have to be really passionate about your animals you have to give them time they're not monkeys their dog OHS they don't have a brain that's even nearly the size of yours and it's amazing that they can even learn what they learn give them a second they're gonna get it they're going to understand it just takes a little bit of patience and a little bit of love so step number one the first step you need to do and taking to get your dogs acclimated to their cages is keep them around the house now I keep mine in my kitchen obviously we're in my kitchen right now don't look at the mess or anything I have to in here if you keep your cages out and about and you keep them in the open your dogs are more likely to just go and step inside them on their own when they do this you want to highly reward them give them Turkey give them treats they good job good boy good girl that is mega mega important you want them to know that being in that cage is a dope job on their behalf.

So go ahead pat their head tell them that they're good and give them some treats if they went ahead and sat in the cage now I'm sure you're thinking yo 60 that's obvious I already do that kind of stuff let me tell you a few other tips that you need to know listen don't put a lot of junk in the crate I know a lot of people are like put toys in there to make them feel comfortable put blankets in there so they can fall asleep at night maybe throw a bed in there so that they can get some extra good sleep honestly don't put anything in great don't do it you're going to do yourself the craziest disservice if you put something in that crate because more times than not they will either a tear it up they will be take a poop and destroy the blanket or the bed or see all of the above I mean it's there's a million ways that these dogs could even hurt themselves so just don't put anything in the crate when you are trying to get them acclimated step number two is going to be just a lot of practice of keeping them in their cages so as they get more acclimated to you leaving and you keeping them in their cage they're literally going to make it their own space as you're out and about whoa miss stop doing the yoga position stuff in front of me as you're out and about they're gonna become more and more familiar with that cage space so that's some really good stuff going on there take advantage of that when you get home keep the cage out don't put it away keep the cage doors open and encourage your dogs to go and sleep in them as much as you can a lot of you have spoken to me and have said.

Dog Suddenly Has Separation Anxiety

Hey you know anytime I leave the room my husky or my dog starts freaking out if I have the cage closed what can I do to remedy this well you're just going to have to work on that step by step take your dog put them in the cage close the door and then leave for like five minutes come back in open the door give them a piece of Turkey then tell them to get back in the cage after two minutes then put them back in the cage and then go back outside wait ten minutes come back in open the cage give them a treat let him out wait two minutes then put them back in the cage go outside wait fifteen minutes you see the pattern I'm telling you here basically you're gonna go outside for five minute intervals you're gonna start with five you're gonna work up to ten and you're gonna go up to 15 you're gonna go on to 20 yeah - yeah a yachtie what this is gonna do is it's gonna teach them to stay in their cage for longer and longer and longer see each time and they're going to be okay I'm waiting on him to come back but you're gonna be pushing that length threshold that they have each time and see when you get to like let's say you're gone for an hour and they're chilling without freaking out then you can expect them to not even make a whimper if you go out and say the garage for 10 minutes because they'll be used to being in their cage for 10 minutes if you have two dogs and this is gonna help you out a lot because one of the dogs eventually is going to teach the other dog how to be better at crate training when you have two dogs one dog always kind of leads the other dog into helping he or she how to do things better so what I do and this kind of helps is.

I have this crate facing this crate and I know that's kind of arbitrary because they're clear crates like they could see each other no matter which direction they were facing but I want them to be looking at each other that's important it gives them more confidence they both know that they're both with each other you know they have a space and the other person has a space and I'm gonna show you something right now how smart dogs can be when it comes to crate training here are my keys I'm gonna pick them up cage good dogs those are good doggies now I know some of you are saying hey dude I don't have the space in my house to have these two giant cages I kind of have to keep them in a separate room tip number three is going to be keeping the cages in a location that is public to you if you're the alpha dog over your dogs and you should be you should absolutely keep the crates in a common room you don't have to keep them in your living room I have these in my kitchen and they're completely separate from my living room they can't see into the living room from the kitchen but dogs do not like being in rooms that are completely separate from the room that you are in now I tried doing that kind of crate training with Gila when she was a little puppy and it just honestly didn't work out too well she would scream for hours on end and I felt really really really bad she was not into it and so what I did to kind of fix that situation as I brought the crate out into the living room and that way she was able to become acclimated to the crate with me there by her side it wasn't so hard for her and it made things a lot easier.

So I kind of discouraged you from keeping the crate in another room that's kind of a no-no in my opinion but if you have to do it you have to do it and last but not least step number four is basically keeping up with everything you have to keep up with the rules if you go anywhere you got to keep your dogs in their cages if you if you do something that you know you're gonna leave your dogs for a long amount of time you have to put them in your cages if you deviate at all from your schedule these dogs especially Huskies they will not learn they're like children if you give them the opportunity to break the rules or you tell them hey you know you don't have to go in your cage tonight they will take advantage of it I mean look at those eyes right there that's mischief that's misbehavior so you really just have to be diligent with what you do that is my tip my last tip for you guys always stick with it don't give up because honestly if you do these dogs will walk all over you so anyways guys I really really really want to thank you for tuning in and reading about are crates good for dogs with separation anxiety a really awesome and fun articel with the pups we've been lazy today these guys were tired it's kind of the middle of the afternoon and it's when they start getting sleepy.

Using Hand Signals to Train Dogs

using hand signals to train dogs

Hi everybody welcome to our digital German Shepherd mancom a little cool here really nice to have autumn weather and it's overcast today so we have really good light lately the lovely and the background she's wanting to get out because she knows I have the tio but we're going to bring sergeant into this articel because I'm going to show you some of the different hand signals that I use when I'm training a dog hand signals in my opinion are very very important it just gives the command more enhancement and it makes that it drives the the command into the dog's psyche quite a bit more than just verbal commands so I'm going to show you several different hand signals that I use here at German Shepherd mancom so I'm going to bring sergeant the super dog into this and and show you some of the hand signals that I use now when I'm training a dog and I give them the command this is the release command when I do this particular command both of my arms are gonna go straight out to the side that means okay a why that's my verbal command that goes along with the hands going out and it tells the dog that they are released from wherever they are now sergeant is currently posted up on our front deck and he is locked in to me and this toy right here.

Dog Training Hand Signals

So I'm going to give you the okay a release signal and see what he does and that hand signal is come that hand signal means to come sit right in front of me so when I'm teaching him that when I'm teaching them come I will not just say come I would say come now that's it did you see him kind of get a little antsy there come let's see he actually got his little rear off the ground an inch or two and came and sat down just when I did that I was kind of cool come Wow isn't he great he is locked now Laura's life has taught taught me how to get them to focus on me and look at me instead of the toy I didn't train him that way so he's locked in the tour on the toy but Leila the lovely I'm getting her a big dawn I'm getting them to look in my eyes but you know he's he's not trained that way now let's talk about another hand signal this is okay or release this is come sergeant now what I'm going to give you this next command is a crucial command for our system our training system because this particular command is so deeply ingrained in their in their brains that they will do it I mean if there's a distraction of some sort you you don't want them running away toward the distraction and you not able to control them.

So this particular command is one that I really drive deep into them and I want them in this position I'm going to show you on purpose because I don't want them come and have their back to a potential distraction or something else going on I like for them to come to to my left side and sit on my left side and so that they can be facing whatever it is I'm facing dog obedience hand signals I think that's important and it locks them in to this particular command now I'm going to do this command where I'm going to take my left hand and I'm going to point to my left side and the command is I used two words right and here now he's not doing it because he doesn't associate those two words separated like that but when I used the finger point to the ground at my left side and those two words close together sergeant right here now he's amped up right now it's cool they love it when it's cool and I got the toy we've been working out and we've been doing a lot of videos so he's kind of but anyway that's the right here signal sergeant dead now that hand signal along with deck when I point to the deck he will go run jump on the deck now if I said okay right here is he awesome or what now I'm going to do the same type thing but instead of saying Dec K.

Dog Hand Signals

I'm going to say work shop sergeant workshop workshop see he he's been going back and forth to the deck so he automatically he heard deck but when he realized oh he said workshop now he has to run to my workshop and post it up yep okay yep and that great I didn't have to say anything then see you can work them I like to come out here at night and work them silently I like them to just respond to hand signals only out here at night because that's part of our training program that's what we do now let me show you when I'm teaching them sit I'll say sit now why do I do that it's just a very unique body movement I mean you don't walk around in conversation and do this often you know so sit come look sergeant come don't touch me with your paws bro you know that is out-of-bounds no sir that's not good come now this is the stay hand signal it's real simple stay that's what I do whenever I'm teaching them to stay I'll always use that hand signal and I don't have to use it on him now because he responds to either the verbal command or the hand signal or both for instance and when I start off on my right foot he knows to stay and when I start off with my left foot he knows to heel.

So that's another foot signal you might want to call it so we use sit stay come right here and I'll show you one more come stay you with me Jack I'm gonna point at his face and say d-o-double you in because that is the stamp command notice how he hits the dirt quick I mean he's not like okay let me lay down I'm he's sergeants the man I mean he's just like you give him a command to dick I mean here that boy he just he just what he loves to work this boy is a worker good boy what an awesome dog sergeant the Superdog you are a man baby he's a 10 I've only had two tens in 40 years this baby right here he's a 10 thank you so much thank you for your comments your more information about how to train your dog with hand signals and when brand-new German Shepherd Man and Sergeant the Superdog articel are up is that awesome you like it sergeant you like it that's a good boy he likes to play tug sergeant jean-georges there's a good boy sergeant getting your name George it's good boys or did it's not good boy come okay good boy Wow when that fought a little whoa post articel treat for you guys that that watched all the way to the end you got something the other guys did get when they left early again thanks to all of you from all.

How to Train a Puppy Not to Bite?

how to train a puppy not to bite?

Did you accidentally get a biting piranha instead of a puppy it's so keep reading some of the most impassioned emails I get from people are those who are having issues with extreme puppy biters today you're going to meet Gian the nine week old puppy biting Boykin Spaniel and I'm going to give you all the info you need to get this issue under control to learn how to stop a puppy from biting seriously is the absolute best thing you can do having a puppy means you need to train them play with them and spend lots of time with them pet flow isn't just another place to get dog food it's a completely different way to get your dog food see with Peplow you order your food one time and then you tell them how often you want to deliver it now of course you can edit your delivery schedule over time as you get a feel for how much food your new puppy is eating you literally.

Biting in Puppies

Don't have to remember to buy your dog's food ever now if you want to give Peplow a shot  of your first auto-ship order I'm gonna have a special link and a coupon code in the description of this video I use it I love it and I think you guys will too when working with a new puppy it's important to get them used to being touched really firmly see the more tolerant the puppy is of being touched like this the less likely they are to bite us and other animals the first few weeks of working with the dog should really be dedicated and building communication with them therefore you can definitely expect a pretty significant disconnect between what your puppy wants to do versus what you want them to do for example you might think you're just going up to pet your dog but they might view this as an invitation to really play enthusiastically with you puppies bite for two major reasons because they're very smart curious animals and they like to engage the world around them.

Since they don't have hands that makes a lot of sense and because they're teething teething puppies like to bite a lot but less pins of energy that your dog has the less likely it is that they're gonna be really insistent biters first I recommend that you're giving your puppy almost daily exercise about 20 to 40 minutes first thing in the morning and then maybe 20 to 30 minutes later in the afternoon if necessary plus regular exercise has a whole host of benefits I'll let you in on a little secret behaviors that you can predict especially those that you don't like can be the easiest to resolve learning how to intercept your puppy before they do something you don't like is an extremely powerful tool I'll show you what I mean but for now understand that you can address puppy biting in two major ways you can show them how to properly play with a toy or you can show them what you'd rather they do instead of bite you both of the exercises.

When do Puppies Stop Biting?

I'm going to cover today have separate but equally important benefits so don't just do one of them do them both often a teething puppy is extra enthusiastic about using their mouths to grab stuff so let's take advantage of that and both show her the right things to bite and show her how to play with a toy which can be very powerful for future training sessions since I know that Remi is likely to be in a bitey mood right now when I engage her I want to come prepared I want to make sure that I have something that is acceptable to bite on like this taxi cab or this rope over here this does a couple of things we're showing her what's acceptable to bite on and we're showing her how to play with a toy and when your dog knows how to play with a toy properly this will be a really powerful training tool moving forward look at this hippie kidding now of course it's worth noting that when you engage your dog with a toy like this and play with them you're likely to amp them up a little bit but that's not always a bad thing.

So your dog has to get rid of their energy in one form or another and being able to get their energy out and up on your terms rather than theirs it's very much in your best interest when you do decide to interact with your dog with a toy like this be prepared to see it through stop puppy biting for several minutes give them the time to understand and comprehend what you're doing and to really start enjoying the whole process your second major option when engaging a fierce puppy biter is to initiate a fun training session with them either teach them something new or work on something they already know the beauty of this exercise is that we're going to give her an alternative behavior to do instead of just biting me impulsively because she feels like it today I'm using boiled chicken as my reward for Gian she's already into a sit here.

Puppy Biting Everything

I love that and now I'm gonna encourage her to go into a lie down good job and you might notice that when you're interacting with your dog like this and you're using treats to reward them that the biting will start to go down automatically just because when a dog is in food mode instead of play mode they're less likely to bite so vigorously your attention span is so good that's all a puppy really wants to do when they're biting you is to interact with you we just need to show them the right way to interact with us like you're an attention span yule if you find that your dog is really and they're biting you a lot when you go to treat them try treating them open-palm like this that'll make it a lot less likely that you'll get bit while you're trading your dog you don't just have to work on sit or lie down you can work on things like roll over play dead speak whatever you want the point is you're teaching your dog to look to you for direction in general.

Rather than just behaving impulsively in biting because that's what they want to do now let's talk about some common issues that you might encounter when teaching your puppy not to bite puppy biting doesn't typically go away overnight so it's really important to stay the course but one way to measure whether or not you're on the right track is to look for instances of licking where your puppy used to bite you'll start to see that these instances will be a lot more common over time if you keep up your training puppy biting can say anywhere from a few days to a couple of months with the more extreme biters in those extreme cases just focus on gradual progress from week to week so what do you do if your puppy just starts biting you and you're not even expecting it well you can promptly engage them in a training session much like we've done today but you'll have to snap into training mode and make sure your mind is fully prepared to give your attention to your dog but if you're unable or unwilling to teach your dog at that particular moment just put them in another room for a couple of minutes.

Let them calm down and then you can bring them back out and try again or take them on a walk to get some of that energy out so timeouts like this should really only last for about a minute or two for those of you that have children under the age of about 10 or so understand that it's your responsibility to teach your puppy how to not bite them neither kids help us continue to revolutionize dog training by becoming part of the revolution and making a monthly contribution of any amount you'd like to our crowdfunding campaign on patreon I'll have a link in the description all of us with the dog training revolution believe so strongly making sure that everyone has all of the info they need to teach their dog everything from day one completely free she did a good job well I'll have all of the details to everything about stop puppy from biting in the articel in the description below check out the best way to get your new puppy blocking nicely on a leash unwanted barking can be a tricky thing to resolve I'll offer you some advice on that topic too.

Brain Training For Dogs Reviews

brain training for dogs reviews

Before I get into the details of this review I have to start by saying that this product is simply the best dog and puppy training program online period quite frankly I'm blown away by what's being offered here and it is such a low cost it's no wonder that this site is getting such rave reviews the online dog trainer by well respected puppy training reviews dog trainer doggy Dan is the fastest growing dog training solution available let me explain some of the things that make this product so good and absolutely unique first of all never before have I come across a dog training product with a National SPCA organization or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals actually endorsed is it the online dog trainer has exactly that the stamp of approval from the Royal New Zealand SPCA.

Best Online Dog Training

They actively promote it and all of their rescue shelters because they know that new rescue dog owners who follow doggy Dan's training are far less likely to return the dog in fact they even have a link to it on their homepage something that you will love about this site is that when you're reading the articel you are actually reading doggie dam during the live consultations they're not reading some staged mock up or trainer dogs reviews reading another ebook when it comes to troubled dogs besides actually they're working with them and delivering results this is the real deal a very talented dog trainer and dog behaviorist in action with seriously difficult dogs and you can see him as he gets the results which is proof that the method works the message itself is very interesting as you'd expect with the endorsement from the SPCA there's no fear or aggression used if the dogs respond so quickly and even sometimes immediately.

Of course the great thing is that you can see it all happening how he uses his voice his body language and even the dog's reactions there are no secrets nothing hidden nothing held back and the method all makes so much sense if you're after a simple but powerful approach to developing a better relationship with your new dog or puppy or you want to stop any unwanted behaviors then this site gives you just that one of the latest and most exciting additions to the site is project Moses for anyone who has a puppy this is perfect for you in this part of the site doggy Dan has taken a tiny new puppy named Moses in video to every stage of his training from 8 weeks old to 1 year old and these articel are all going on to the fight it really is stunning footage as you see the pup learning all the commands and growing into quite an amazing dog this project in itself is a wonderful concept and worthy of being a product he can charge for all on its own but it's included.

Online Dog Training Courses

So for people wanting to train a puppy there is nothing to compare this to when you join the online dog trainer one of the free bonuses is a forum the questions asked in the forum are currently all being answered by doggy Dan himself and as far as I can tell it's always been this way this is quite different from many other forums where users are simply left to chat amongst themselves to guess the next step or a third person is employed to answer questions inside the online dog trainer is doggy Dan himself and he's there to help which is a huge bonus if you want a specific professional advice for your situation something that becomes a parent watching doggy dan is his knowledge and passion to help make a difference in the lives of dog owners.

He comes across as a genuine guy as well as being a great dog trainer behaviorist author and speaker his relaxed and competent nature on-camera combined with the masses of knowledge and video footage he has to share makes for some very educational and entertaining healing the testimonials about the online dog trainer are actually a real joy to read what stands out about these live comments are that they're actually being posted by people and there's nothing fake about them they're done using a third-party Facebook application which means the only person posting the comment is the one that has access to it they're not edited and all are a hundred percent genuine this removes any suspicion that they were all gathered a long time ago by dubious methods and then altered until they sounded good these are totally real comments from real people who simply love the online dog trainer and doggy Dan's method it's another refreshing change.

You can get all this for just $1 it's a trial of the site for three days which is an amazing offer from doggy Dan this is really another standout feature for me being able to see what the site looks like before committing to the monthly fee is a massive benefit a $1 trial lets you check out the entire site and gives you a feel for how the site works and what you're getting having a look around I immediately understood that I had somewhere to do there's no silver bullet to solve my dog's issues I have to watch the videos and learn put the learnings into practice and then keep watching them to make sure dog training reviews I'm doing it correctly once I get past the first couple of steps I can spend some time to get on to the next phase of the training  so I know now what I'm in for this is going to take a month or so to get on top of it and to get this for all a fraction of the cost of a dog trader is a real no-brainer.

How to Stop a Dog From Jumping on You

Now I appreciate that so there's my hand well gosh okay you so big it's just dying to engage with me and that's a good thing in fact that's something we're going to use to our advantage and today's lesson I hope next all of this excess energy can make it really challenging for a dog like Zeus to listen to me I mean think about it he was bred to herd sheep for hours on end now he's just got a normal life in the suburbs which is totally fine but we have to find other ways to make sure that our dog is satisfied mentally and physically we human beings we made them like this so we have a responsibility to keep them satisfied fortunately fetch early in the day and just before training will likely do the trick.

if you've got a high energy dog I'll have a articel in the description that will show you how to stop dog jumping on you the reason dogs jump like this in the first place is because they like to greet us at the face they want to say hello and really interact with us now if you're struggling with teaching your dog how not to jump your issue isn't that your dog no don't bite my ankles dude your issue isn't that you have a jumping dog the issue is that you haven't taught your dog how to sit and stay when they're excited we're going to see how this has hit stay is looking sit that was kind of a disaster Lary now you can clearly see how teaching a dog like Zeus to sit and stay as different than many of the other dogs.

How to Stop a Dog Jumping up When Walking?

I work with I mean bigger and stronger he's more intense his mind is going a million miles an hour that was good sit stay okay good job his focus is really strong with dogs like this you have to constantly engage them during a training session and if you're new that's not very natural so you'll have to be extra patient until you acquire the skill here's a good example teaching your dog to leave it the second I put the Treat in front of me is trying to get it so you've got to be really quick about being one step ahead of them look back here sit so and see I mean I'm pulling away at you can see it in his eyes dogs will foreshadow very obviously if you know what you're looking for and as you get to know your dog yet then you'll be able to predict that that was a good leave it right there.

I rewarded him because he left it alone for a little bit longer than he was on the prior attempt just doing exercises like this build communication between you two that's why I do leave it with almost every dog that I work with and that's good because he needs some impulse control a lot of it I often use turkey or chicken when I'm training these are really extra convenience or dry they're not wet these are really good to store around the house if you have a new dog and you need to get treats really fast having your dog stay like this when you're completely focused on them that's one thing of course getting them to pull the sit stay when things get more exciting well that's a tougher thing to accomplish so if I'm acting ridiculous Zeus obviously gets excited and start playing and biting or all of that other stuff so we're going to work up to this yes good so I provided a distraction you might have noticed there it was subtle but I got his eyes on me too by making a little sound yeah good job just practicing.

Stop Your Dog From Jumping Up

It is going to make things a lot easier when the real-life situations present themselves you don't wait till your company over or you're in public to then attempt to work on this sit good stay yes stay yeah now that's a home run now if I tell juice to stay and I throw this toy he's likely gonna go and chase it so let's see if we can improve that just a little bit up here yeah good stay stay up good correction sir yeah that's what I mean dogs like this even though he's really hyper did you see how he stopped mid stride when I said app as he went to go for it so he really self corrected there and that's very good it's natural for dog to be confused when you're telling them to stay and there's something exciting going on it's not reasonable to expect the dog that's only been on this planet less than two years to just understand they're supposed to be good stay yeah good boy up here look at me please yeah you're on the right track now you want your dog to exercise self-control in so many different circumstances especially exciting one state ah yes.

I'm gonna get on the ground and start acting ridiculous now because that's going to be even tougher for him okay good looks like he thought about breaking there so I want to make sure I reward him before he breaks and again even though this is teaching stay this is central to teaching a dog not to jump in the beginning stages I'm able to pet Luke's right now give him a little bit of love and he's not jumping on me and hey have a well bar really impressive we'll see if I can do that now if you know that you've got guests coming over exercise your dog just before guests arrive make sure they're on a leash or in another room.

So that you can minimize or prevent the jumping from occurring in the first place and what's your guests are settled bring out your dog and practice sit and stay in front of them have them pet your dog and if your dog attempts to jump simply intervene and redirect them into a sit or lie down like we did earlier yes that's how you do a redirect right up right there it's your responsibility to do this training not your guests a lot of people are tempted to have their guests do the training but your dog needs to learn to listen to you when they're excited. I hope you have found my dog jumps on everyone tips to stop the jumping in this articel.
